If your extensions feel like they’re becoming increasingly difficult to style, this is likely a sign that there is product build-up and they need to be washed. In addition, we recommend only using a wide-tooth comb or your hands to brush through the ponytail. We don’t recommend dyeing/toning, using water-based products, washing or heat styling (such as straightening, blow-drying or curling). Please note that unlike our Straight Clip-In Ponytail Extension, the care instructions for the Curly Clip-In Ponytail Extension are different in order to preserve the curl pattern. You can use your best judgment on how often to wash them, however, we recommend only washing them once there is a lot of product build up. As a general rule, the less you wash your extensions the longer they will last. Since your extensions aren't subject to the oils produced by your scalp the way your natural hair is, you don’t have to wash them as often. Luxy Hair extensions are made with 100% remy human hair, which means they can be washed and styled just like your own natural hair. We are always open to feedback! We also recommend coming up with a numbering system for the wefts, so that you know exactly where each weft is supposed to be clipped in for the future uses. If you decide to get them cut, we recommend having them already clipped into your hair during the haircut. Since Luxies are made of 100% remy human hair, they can be cut or trimmed to any desired length by an experienced hair stylist if you are interested in a shorter length. For Halo ® hair extensions, please measure from the crown of your head as the main weft will be applied here. In order to determine how long your Clip-Ins will be on you, we recommend measuring either 12,16, 20 or 24 inches down from the top of your ear with a measuring tape, as most wefts will be applied around the crown of your head. If you are more petite or have a shorter torso, Luxies will appear longer on you. If you have a longer torso or are quite tall, Luxies will appear shorter on you. Great question! This is because Luxy Hair extensions will appear different in length on every person, as we all have different torso lengths. Why do they look longer on some people and shorter on others?
